I have always love of henna ever since I first saw it at my cousins wedding back in April 1999. 

 

I was so amazed by the bride's henna that I was asking Mum what it was and why she was wearing it. The following week my aunt came over from Pakistan and applied henna on me for the Walima ceremony.

 

It was only when I was watching 'Mr Ash Kumar' on Blue Peter that decided that I wanted to do henna and so I began this amazing journey of henna. Since his appearance on Blue Peter, I have always been inspired by Mr Kumar and his designs continue to be a inspiration to this very day.

 

I started off by doing henna on my family and friends on birthdays, Eid and Diwali; soon I was doing it for everyone at school and college at fairs and functions.

 

Whilst at college I decided to go professional and soon after I began doing brides as well. 

 

My family and friends love my work, especially my cousins daughters who always ask to have their henna done by myself 'Aisha Baji' every time they come over.

 

I decided to do the Ash Kumar Henna Course as I wanted to enhance my skills and designs, I am now "Fully Qualified 'Ash Kumar' Henna Artist". I thoroughly enjoyed the course, Mr Kumar, Kajal and Meena were wonderful tutors, taught well and I left feeling inspired with yet more henna designs all ready.

Since completing the henna course in June 2012, I have had many brides book me for their weddings, other events.

I have had the opportunity to work alongside Pavan the current fastest henna artist in the world, doing henna in Selfridges at Pavan Henna Bar. Where I have had the chance to do henna for many celebs from Little Mix's Perrie Edwards to Priya Khalidas and Bollywood Stars.

 

Based in London and I travel nationwide.
